Since early humans gazed up at the sky, we’ve dreamed of exploring its awe-inspiring vastness. From the discovery of Haley’s Comet to the Apollo 11 mission in 1969, we are constantly looking up at the stars, wondering why we’re here and what’s out there. NASA are the experts behind those milestones. But sometimes, they have a strange habit of sending the weirdest objects into space. Some of those objects are listed below.
Most of us thought that this is a biological project to see what are the outcome if our plants will be sent to space. But it turns out that this is an art project from a Japanese artist, Azumo Makoto.
Makoto (along with NASA) sends the bonsai tree along with orchids, lilies, irises, and hydrangeas into the cold recesses of space. The reason why they do it because they wanted to see what it will look like in space.
