The newest and viral trend on the Internet today is that some people think we should drink raw water instead of the filtered ones. Let’s see why these people are suggesting that.
With the real threat of our water supplies being contaminated, it’s completely logical that more people are suspicious about safe drinking water.
For example, there has always been a huge controversy about fluoride in publicly supplied water even though it’s meant to boost dental health.
However, some people have taken this suspicion too far. These people made a so-called “raw water” movement.
That’s why someone builds a new company, Live Water, who are selling unfiltered, unsterilized, and untreated spring water for hefty prices particularly in West Coast areas like Silicon Valley and San Francisco.
Why We Should Drink Raw Water According to Live Water?
According to the company, which they sell it for a whopping $37, filtering water removes “beneficial sources of minerals and probiotics.” They even claim that tap water is part of some governmental mind-control conspiracy.
“Tap water? You’re drinking toilet water with birth control drugs in them,” Mukhande Singh, founder of Live Water told The New York Times.Mukhande Singh
“Chloramine, and on top of that, they’re putting in fluoride. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but it’s a mind-control drug that has no benefit to our dental health.”
We Should Drink the Filtered Water Because It’s Safe
Some experts point out that tap water has even stricter regulations than bottled water.
The tap water is filtered and treated which means it is safe for consumption. On the other hand, drinking raw or untreated water is risky.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, since the implementation of water treatment systems across the U.S. in the early 1900s, incidences of diseases such as cholera and typhoid have dropped dramatically.
Water filtration saves lives. But why do some people still think it is unsafe and it has some mind-control substances?
