In America, it is already netiquette to give a tip when eating in a restaurant. In fact, there’s already a standard on how much they should give to the waiter.
However, some people think that tipping is a perplexing process. They don’t know if they should give or not and how much should they tip. The standard rule for tipping in America is 15-20 percent of your bill.
That’s why there is one waiter in America who was surprised to get a tip that is below the standards.
He said that it was frustrating to show gratitude when he was only given a $3.28 tip on an expensive bill from the four teenagers.
More importantly, the waiter has been working in the industry for a long and no one did that to him.
Surprisingly, after a few days of that incident, the teenagers came back to the restaurant and gave a note to the waiter.
The letter is about teenagers who are sincerely apologizing to the waiter for what happened. Those teenagers even left him $18 and some change on the note.
He posted the letter online to express gratitude to the teenager for realizing their mistakes and tried to correct it. Here are the pictures of the letter that the waiter got:
Those teenagers are so sweet and kind. They are so honest to admit their mistakes and they corrected it immediately. Kudos to the parents who raised these teens!
Just a friendly reminder, always keep in mind to tip your waiters!
