An airport in Taiwan offers a tour for 90 people allowing them to go around the airport without actually having to go anywhere.
There will be three tours in the following dates: July 2, 4, and 7.
Taipei’s Tongshan Airport will provide participants a half-day experience of tour around the vicinity and a mock immigration experience.
Pretend passengers will also have the chance to board on a plane. After which, they will disembark and “re-enter” the country as they again undergo normal immigration procedures.
In a CNN interview, Chih-Ching Wang, deputy director of Taipei Songshan Airport, said locals can use this chance to experience and learn more about boarding processes and relevant facilities in the airport.
Tour goers can also “first to experience facilities in the airport.” They will also participate on “missions” and take home “exclusive mysterious gifts.”
Songshan airport is the smaller international airport located at the country’s capital, beside the Keelung River.
While it is not the country’s main airport, it catered to 6.3 million passengers in 2018. Flights from Songshan are usually domestic routes and to some destinations in China, Japan, and South Korea.
Since March, Taiwan has closed its borders from foreign visitors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
