Just before the next iPhone launch, the Internet is getting flooded with reports about the 2019 iPhone lineup. While there have been plenty of those reports since January, the rumors have now turned towards the 2020 iPhones.
One rumor that keeps floating to the top of the list is the rear-facing 3D camera system.
The setup would be the same as the current True Depth camera system used for Face ID on the front of the phone.
However, the only exception would be a slightly different type of technology that could allow it to 3D map objects from farther away.
This would significantly improve its augmented reality applications and take certain camera features like Portrait Mode to the next level.
The iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max are expected to have a three-camera on the back that would include a new ultrawide-angle lens.
Though the cheaper XR sequel would also add the ultrawide-angle lens, it will not have the third telephoto lens found on its higher-end models.
On the other hand, Kuo said that the other rumor for the new 2020 iPhone is its 5G connectivity. Last month he’d aforementioned solely 2 out of the 3 reported iPhone models would have this sort of property.
But in his most recent report, he says that the three models will go 5G. What’s still unclear is whether there would be a fourth non-5G alternative at a lower price.
Apple is probably going to launch 3 new iPhones in 2020:: one with a 5.4-inch screen, another with the same 6.1-inch display as the current XR, and a larger 6.7-inch option.
