Millions of years ago, dinosaurs have dominated our land and they are like the king of the planet. These gigantic creatures were strong and powerful that’s why many creatures feared them.
Unfortunately, the dinosaurs became extinct because of the huge asteroid that hits Earth sixty-six million years ago.
Moreover, scientists believed that 75% of Earth’s population got wiped out because of this catastrophic incident.
Recently, the scientists were able to find some evidence in Mexico and they said that the asteroid is as powerful as the 10 billion World War II atomic bombs.
It is indeed an enormous and strong asteroid which can obviously extinct the dinosaurs.
According to the study at the University of Texas, the asteroid is 7.5 mile (12 km) wide which causes massive wildfires and huge tsunamis that added to the factors of the extinction of dinosaurs and other creatures.
Moreover, the asteroid also releases a huge amount of sulfur into the atmosphere which blocks the sun that suddenly drops down the temperature of the planet.
The surviving dinosaurs could have died with the aftermath of the catastrophe.
On the other hand, the study of the University of Texas was based on the rocks they’ve collected in 2016 on the Chicxulub impact site off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.
The scientists and other researchers are continuously looking for more evidence of the extinction of these huge creatures.
