A Somali hotel attacked. This happened on Tuesday when security forces ended a deadly attack for a seven-hour battle. This left three civilians and two other soldiers dead.
The attack began when five heavily armed gunmen stormed the SYL hotel. This was according to the police and government officials.
Eleven people injured including two members of the country’s security forces.

Moreover, the attackers were part of the terrorist group Al-Shabaab. The five men started shooting police responders, said by police officer Ali Abdi.

Government spokesman Ismail Mukhtar tweeted early Wednesday.
The security forces have finally accomplished the operation they have been conducting in SYL hotel, the entire of the 5 attackers have been killed, (and) 5 people have been killed in the attack.
Further, dozens of people evacuated by the police. The SYL is close to the presidential palace and is very popular with Somali Lawmakers and security officials.
Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack and said in a statement that its firefighters conducted the raid as planned.
Moreover, the police said that the death toll would rise. Hoping that the Somali government will handle that situation and that we hope that this will be that last.
