A service animal is any dog that is trained to perform tasks for the assistance of a person with a disability. However, some service dogs can also be a lifesaver for the people they served.
For someone who is blind, a service animal can help guide those people and accomplish daily tasks that they can’t do alone.
But there is one service dog who went beyond the call of duty when he protected his owner’s life.
Figo the service dog was walking with his blind owner Audrey Stone then a bus is fast approaching. The dog immediately switched sides to protect her. The bus hit them and they both have injuries but not fatal.
Even Figo is still injured, he kept on going near Audrey’s side. The veterinarians and emergency staff said that they never have seen this kind of loyalty and friendship of a service dog.
