Sir Roderick David Stewart, also known as “Rod Stewart, is a British legendary rock singer and songwriter. He was born and raised in London with his family of Scottish and English ancestry.
Certainly, Stewart is one of the greatest and best-selling music artists of all time. He has sold over 100 million records worldwide including his famous hits like “Have I Told You Lately” and “I Don’t Want To Talk About It”.
However, the legendary rock star stunned the world especially his fans when he announces that he’s already cancer-free. The world doesn’t have any clue about his health condition until now.
Rod Stewart said that he discovered his prostate cancer last February 2016 during a routine check-up.
From that time, the doctors started to treat his sickness and right now he’s all cleared because of early detection.
“No-one knows this, but I thought this was about time I told everybody. I’m in the clear, now, simply because I caught it early. I have so many tests.”Rod Stewart said in the Prostate Project and Golf’s European Tour Foundation
Certainly, the early detection of any sickness can prevent it to worsen the condition. The cancer survival story of Rod Stewart is firm evidence of it.
That’s why Stewart is encouraging all people to have a regular check-up with their doctors. “You really got to visit the doctor regularly guys,” he stated during his announcement.
Just like the famous saying goes, “Prevention is Better Than Cure” and we believe it’s true.
