An officer responded to a residence in Davie suburb in Miami around 4:15 am. And had learned that Walton had been in an argument with the woman. This was according to the police report.

The woman was five weeks pregnant with his child, the report said.

Davie officer wrote on his report that “during the argument, Walton pushed the woman against the wall. Punching her several times in the face and in the head. I observed that the woman has swelling in her left eye.” The victim’s name was removed from the report.

Walton charged with aggravated assault on a pregnant woman, report says. Walton is in Broward County Jail, has a pending hearing on Wednesday. This would determine his bond status.

In a statement, Dolphins’ general manager Chris Grier said,

We were made aware of a police matter earlier this morning regarding Mark Walton

Thus, we hold our players to a high standard and take these matters very seriously. We will have no further comment at this time.
