A man from Massachusetts came home from work and discovered someone broke into the house. But instead of stealing something, the person ended up cleaning the house.
Nate Roman, 44, told CBS News he knew “something is off” as soon as he entered the house. He smelled cleaning chemicals and saw a door closed that is normally open.
During that time, he forgot to set his security alarm not being able to get footage of the incident.
He said when he saw the room of his son cleaned, he immediately called the police.
In his Facebook post in early May last year, he said that he experienced a very unique kind of house intrusion.
“Ready for the weird part? Not only did they not take anything (that I can find), but the purpose of the visit was to clean my bathrooms and bedrooms,” he said.
The post earned 1,600 likes and more than 500 shares.
Mr. Roman went through all the parts of the house, finding out that the mysterious stranger made the beds, vacuumed his rugs, and scrubbed the toilets.
The stranger even folded the toilet paper into roses as a final touch. Further, the homeowner said the intruder did not steal nor break anything.
Meanwhile, police said there are not currently suspects and did not see anything suspicious.
