A man in Texas got a really slow getaway from the police while he was driving a toy car.
David Schumaker was pulled over for an alleged credit card theft in San Jacinto County, Texas.
The 26-year-old man was arrested while he was slowly making his way around the Sheperd Town with his bright pink Cadillac Escalade electric car, designed for children around 5-10 years old.
Authorities said they were confused and surprised at the same time when they saw the man using it as a regular transport, a report says.
According to Deputy Nathan Deweese, Schumaker allegedly stole a credit card from a woman he personally knew. Later, the lady reported to the police her credit card was being used.
During the arrest, the alleged thief said he was looking for a battery of the toy car.
“Someone who was passing took the picture and it has caused a lot of amusement,” the police said.
The photo of the card thief in his pink Cadillac toy car went viral on social media, with thousands of people making fun of him.
Later on, the toy car was given to another person. The police said the car was “towed” by a family member.
