People tend to get creative this pandemic to get essential needs without breaking the bank. For this man, he will cross states just to get free food, specifically nuggets.
Fast food chain Wendy’s last April 24 announced that it is giving away four-piece Rooster nuggets to anyone who visits the store’s drive-thru.
The corporation named the promotion as “GroupNug,” which is dedicated for the chain’s hard working crew who have been “going above and past” to assist communities.
However, the promotion is limited to only one pack of free nuggets to every buyer. But a man from Oregon will not keep him from stocking up some free food.
Having heard of this, Twitter user “Skweezy Jibbs” immediately knew that he had to “hustle” and drive to 11 different Wendy’s branches in the greater Portland and Vancouver areas to get the free chicken nuggets that he can stock up during the country’s lockdown.
In the post he posted last April 25, he said it took him five hours to visit the different branches; nevertheless, worth the long drive as he will be eating free nuggets for a week.
Wendy’s has been proactively helping communities during the pandemic, as posted to its Square Deal Blog. The site has been documenting the chain’s efforts on offering free meals especially to frontline staff.
