Life on Mars – Are we ready for it? NASA Chief says no.

In the coming years, reports about having a life on Mars may be released to the public. However, is the world ready to hear such news? According to NASA Chief Scientist, we aren’t.

According to NASA’s Chief Scientist Jim Green, the idea “will be revolutionary. It will start a whole new line of thinking. I don’t think we’re prepared for the results. We’re not.”.

Reports say that NASA’s Mars Rover sets out to the red planet next year. Accordingly, this project figures as the agency’s most daring endeavor yet. In particular, the Mars Rover plans to drill into Mars’ crust and collect sample materials to be studied here on Earth. Apparently, Scientists conclude that the red planet’s surface is radioactive. Hence, in such instances, life tends to flourish underground. Hence, the project plans to do just exactly that.

Although, to be frank, finding life on Mars may not be entirely feasible. But then the idea can also not be taken away given the bits of evidence previously collected. However, speaking in the hypothesis, NASA Chief Green believes that whatever they discover may actually lead to more expeditions and discoveries.

NASA’s Mars 2020 Rover sets out in July 2020 with a definite goal to find life on Mars. However, should these prove to be unattainable, the rover will “test oxygen production on the planet and monitor Martian weather to evaluate how potential human colonies could fare on Mars. “.

Life on Mars – is there any?

Suffice it to say, we don’t know at this point. But give it a couple of years, maybe we’ll find out.

Accordingly, NASA already has another instrument on the ground. The InSight lander has been stuck on the red planet for a couple of months now. Originally designed to burrow at least 15 feet into the surface, the lander figured in a freak accident a couple of months back. Accordingly, the Mole failed not even halfway through its target. Attributing to the hard rock where the Mole broke ground, it only made 14 inches.

So, are you ready to know if there’s life on Mars?
