Instead of announcing his next upcoming album, Yeezus or Kanye West announces on social media his plans to run for president.
In his tweet last July 5, Grammy Award Winner and American Rapper Kanye West said he plans to run for presidency.
He said in his post that American should trust God, unify peoples’ vision and build the country’s future.
The tweet earned more than one million likes and 530,500 retweets within two days.
However, reports say if he is serious on his announcement, he still had so many things to do with the election only four months away.
The Life of Pablo rapper still needs to register with the Federal Election Commission, present a campaign platform, collect enough signatures to get on the November ballot and more.
Further, he already missed the deadline to file as an independent candidate in many states.
Meanwhile, his fans and his fellow artists already showed massive support to the rapper’s huge plan.
Tesla CEO Elon Mask even responded, “You have my full support!”
This is not the first Mr. West announced running for presidency. During the MTV Video Music Awards in 2015, he concluded his acceptance speech he will be running in 2020.
But in January 2019, it seemed he planned to delay his plans when he tweeted “2024.”
