There have been some arguments about whether love is a choice/decision or merely just a feeling. For beginners or amateurs when it comes to love, they would stand with the choice that it is just a feeling.
It is simply an emotion full of happiness and excitement with matching butterflies in your stomach whenever you are with your special someone.
On the other hand, people who have experienced true love or even those who are lucky enough to have met their destiny. They will constantly tell you that “love is and will always be a choice”.
If you are a Christian or someone who believes in a higher being, you will truly believe that the bible’s description of love is accurate enough to believe in.
Quoting from 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 which states that
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hope, always perseveres.”
However, if you are agnostic or atheist who does not believe in a higher being or does not have a religion, you will still realize that love does not just stop with good times but also stays even in the darkest moments.
