Instagram will block content under that age of 18
Instagram’s public policy manager Emma Collins said in a statement.
We want Instagram to be a positive place for everyone that uses it and this policy is part of our ongoing work to reduce the pressure that people can sometimes feel as a result of social media.

Is It Necessary To Stop Social Media Validation?
While this change is already on the go with Instagram, Facebook will also adopt the policy in the coming weeks.
Moreover, in the next few weeks, Instagram will roll out a feature that will allow you to report anything that will violate the policy. Then the post will be reviewed and actions will be done appropriately by that app’s team of the content reviewers.
The new policy is a long time coming and some might not be with the policy but that’s alright because the safety and welfare of the teens are out priorities right now.
