If it’s possible, do you want to live on the moon? Well, the European Space Agency (ESA) says that they wanted to take humans live inside the caves of the moon someday. This is their goal in the future.
The ESA wanted to delve into the underneath of the surface of the moon. There have been sightings of underground caves during the exploration of it.
They believe that those caves were caused by basaltic lava flows billions of years ago.
ESA calls these caves as lunar maria (enormous dark valleys) and it’s almost had the same appearance as the one in Hawaii.
“Exploring these caves can give us new information regarding the moon and it might also allow us to live on it in the future.” Francesco Sauro, director of ESA’s PANGAEA planetary geology astronaut training.
The space agency is looking for ideas on how we can further study the lunar maria and how can we navigate through it.
They are also still studying ways on how we can use the communication system amid underground caves and the surface.
Moreover, the ESA is hoping to find a system that would land on the moon’s surface, find a cave near the landing area and access it.
If they would achieve this, there will be new findings on their scientific exploration of the Moon.
Let’s hope and pray that they would be able to study the moon thoroughly. Who knows we might find something useful for everyone?
