Every human being experiences different emotions: happiness, sadness, frustration, excitement, nervousness, anger, etc. Each emotion depends on the situation the person is in and how he/she reacts to it.
Emotions like happiness and anger are something we can choose to feel and handle. Yes, some situations may push you to react negatively and make you burst with extreme frustration leading to anger.
But thinking critically and assessing the situation is a must before you react to a certain situation, person or people.
As when one is angry or bursting with negative emotions, he/she might drop offensive and hurtful words or even physically hurt the person in worst-case scenarios.
But the real question is, how do we manage our anger despite the gravity of the situation? How do we contain ourselves and not let it consume us?
First, we should always remember that we should control our anger and not let it consume us as when we let that happen, a lot of negativity and unpleasant events will arise.
Secondly, we should breathe deeply and count to ten to carefully assess the situation and see if it is worth our energy release.
Because when we get angry, we also release energy that we have been holding in reaction to the situation or the person we are confronted with.
Lastly, we should not be inconsiderate of the people that are not involved in the situation that can/will be affected by our anger.
