This will be the fastest street-legal Mini Cooper on the road. Mini Cooper unveiled it at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week.
The Mini Cooper John Cooper Works GP has 301 horsepower with top speeds up to 165 miles an hour. This small but mighty car has just two seats and has a big wing hanging at the back.

Only 3,000 will be produced and each one will be numbered in a proper way. The production number will be from, 0001 through 3000. This will appear in large digits in the corner in front of the car’s fender flare.
Mini has already decided that the car with 0001 will go to a customer in the United States, but they haven’t decided yet on who will get it. Mike Peyton, Mini’s vice president for the Americas said there will not be an auction for the number 0001 car.
The fender flares are made from carbon-fiber-reinforced-plastic, which have openings to allow more airflow. The material recycled waste left over from the production of BMW i3 and i8 plug-in cars (Mini is a subsidiary of BMW).
Actually, the rear wing is two. Separate combined wings to provide more downforce as the car reaches high speeds. It’s incorporated into the front bumper.
The John Cooper Works GP has a special eight-speed automatic transmission, according to the company.
