We all have seen many shark movies and they all have the same story. It’s either a diver will be saved from the vicious sharks or the boat will be attacked.
However, not all creatures in the ocean are harmful. There are still some friendly creatures that won’t harm you and sometimes will even save you.
Marine Biologist, Nan Hauser, has explored the depths of the oceans for decades. However, during his snorkeling excursion, she experienced something new and incredibly exciting.
While exploring the seas off the Cook Islands, he saw a large humpback whale trying to shield Hauser from an oncoming tiger shark.
The whale is using its head and mouth to try and push Hauser to the surface, while another nearby whale uses its tail to fend off the shark.
According to Hauser, this is the first he experienced this incident where a humpback whale has protected a human against predators.
Hauser suspects this is often proof that whales have associate instinct to guard different species. I guess if lifeguards aren’t nearby, a humpback whale is the next best thing.
What can you say about this story? Isn’t it amazing? A diver was saved by a whale. That’s a wonderful sight to see! Don’t forget to share this with your friends, okay?
