A bride from India fled from her in-laws’ house with their money and other valuables after putting sedatives in the dinner of the entire family.
According to the report, the incident happened in the Chota Para area in the Badaun district in December last year.
When the family woke up the next day, the bride already left. She also took with her the money worth Rs 70,000 and ornaments amounting to Rs three lakh.
Authorities reported they are also currently looking for Tinku, the middleman who arranged the marriage between Pravin, the groom, and Ria, the alleged suspect.
The family said Tinku accompanied the bride to her new home after the marriage. He is now also missing after the incident happened.
Groom’s father named Ram Ladete said the family spent Rs four lakh in the marriage of his son. The marriage happened in Azamgarh, the area where the bride lived. Tinku solemnized the couple’s wedding.
Prior to the marriage, the family also said Tinku asked the family to prepare jewelry for the bride’s family as they are very poor.
Meanwhile, the groom shared his hatred toward his wife, saying she embarrassed his family in the whole village. He wanted her to get arrested.
