Art is kinda bizarre at today’s age, how would you imagine a painting cover with just a blue paint sold by nearly $45 million dollars? Well, then how about this duct-taped banana which costs $120,000? That’s insane!
That one artist eats it on a display just like that? Seriously? Well yes.
Maurizio Cattelan an Italian Trickster, made this Duct-Taped Banana an art and post it in on Art Basel Miami an art gallery event held at Miami Convention Center, Miami Florida.

It was called a “comedian” from the gallery.
This masterpiece was sold at $120,000 quickly and btw, someone also betting $150,000 for it. Wow, considering a banana bought in a store.
What would we know that someone will just eat it just like that, yes someone removed it from its current display and eat?
You must be hungry sir, jeez.
This man who ate last Saturday it is a New York-based – Performance Artist, his name is David Datuna.
He called his performance piece, “Hungry Artist.”
It caught the attention of the audiences and began filming using their cameras and phones.
He then said:
“I respect Maurizio but it’s art performance. Hungry artist,” he said
“You have more? $150,000,” he joked. .David Datuna
Cattelan didn’t provide any potential buyers what instructions to do when the artwork starts to decompose itself.
So according to from the statement from Galerie Perrotin:
“Back then, Cattelan was thinking of a sculpture that was shaped like a banana,” it reads. “Every time he traveled, he brought a banana with him and hung it in his hotel room to find inspiration. He made several models: first in resin, then in bronze and in painted bronze (before) finally coming back to the initial idea of a real banana.”Galerie Perrotin
Art or not, it was considered one of the “blunders” in art history.
