Most of us have our own friends that we can call. Sometimes, we even treated them as part of our family and calls them as our best friends.
But we wonder, do animals have friends too?
Let’s look at this funny story of a golden retriever who has a strange best friend.
According to science, animals have their friends too. Just like this tortoise and his dog best friend which makes it an unlikely pair.
Even though they have a strange setup, these adorable friends are totally attached to each other.
Larry, the tortoise, had a rough life before living with the current owner, Christine Hill in California.
“When we saved Larry, he was being attacked by other tortoises and was unhappy and frightened,” Hill explained. “At first, Larry just wanted to escape and run away.”
Fortunately, the tortoise’s life change when he met Cricket, Hill’s golden retriever. It seems like they liked each other at their first meeting. Larry felt safe and relaxed with his huge, hairy protector by his side.
“They bond together, snooze together and eat together,” Hill said.
“Larry never tried to escape again.”
It is obvious that these two are meant to be the best of friends.
