A 32-year-old man who disguised himself as an 81-year-old senior citizen was nabbed at India last week. The incident occurred on September 8, 2019, at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Apparently, Jayesh Patel, 32, was trying to book an overnight flight from India to New York when authorities saw something fishy. Notably, Singh was complete with accessories such as wigs, hair color, and a fake passport. Additionally, he came to the airport riding a wheelchair to add to the dramatic effect.
According to airport security Shrikant Kishore, the man dressed in a white tunic and trousers hesitated when asked to be checked. Kishore mentioned that Patel posed “as if he was very old and incapacitated,”. Additionally, Patel did not want to rise from his wheelchair, citing incapacity. This prompted security to deduce the occurrence.
32 Year Old furnishes false passport, information
When asked to check his passport, Patel pulled out a fake passport with totally different information. The passport showed him to be Amrik Singh. Additionally, the passport details included a birth date of February 1, 1938, supposedly making him 81 years old.
Kishore stated that from the initial looks of it the person was not anywhere near 80 years old. Accordingly, his skin and the color of his hair roots were that of a young person. Eventually, airport security detained Patel.
However, Kishore mentioned that he did not know the reason why Patel decided to disguise himself in this way. Additionally, he also had no answer to why Patel wanted to book a quick flight to New York. After the incident, Kishore and the airport security handed him over to India’s Police Force for further action and investigation.
