Jay Kay, born 1969, has amassed an impressive $70,000,000 fortune thanks mainly to his vocal talents at the helm of the British acid jazz and funk band Jamiroquai.
Fronting Jamiroquai since its inception in 1992, the band has gone on to sell more than 30 million albums, including the best-selling funk album of all time, Travelling Without Moving, which spawned the worldwide hit Virtual Insanity.
The music video for the aforementioned single won “Breakthrough Video” and the “Best Video of the Year” at the 1997 MTV Video Music Awards, and it helped propel Jamiroquai into worldwide superstardom, after years of success in the UK.
He has truly lived the rock-and-roll lifestyle, and he has dealt with his fair share of drugs, women, and paparazzi throughout his career. He has also amassed an impressive fleet of cars and even his own Robinson R44 helicopter, registration G-JKAY. [Pictured]
He is almost as famous for his love for cars as he is for his music, with a collection including 68 current vehicles, and has owned a total of 100 luxury cars during the course of his career.
A few examples from his collection include a jet-black Ferrari Enzo, a red Lamborghini Muira SV, a silver Aston Martin DB5 (the same model of car that featured in the James Bond film Goldfinger), and a Mercedes 300SL Roadster.
